To start off with, the world of Fasinao has very similar racial division to most D&D and Pathfinder settings, with a few small twists.  Animal-Human hybrids are more commonplace, sitting at a similar population level as say half-elves (in total, not per-breed).  Generally these tend to lean towards more human traits, but there are some which are more furrier.  Yes I know this opens the furry floodgate, but far be it for me to kink-shame.  Officially, anime-grade monster girls/guys are the standard, anything else is up to the GM.

Acceptance of Race/Creed/Sexuality/Gender and all those political hot-topics is essentially pretty classic.  Some areas are more accepting, but there is racism abound.  Sexism, however, is almost non-existent.  Stat-wise, women and men are comperable if not identical, and there are plenty of powerful women in the world, so while there may be some chivalric considerations for women, being a lady in armour is totally fine.

Genders outside the male/female standard are a case-by-case thing based on your GM.  Being magically changed into another gender or creature can and does happen in this setting, so saying you're a man in a woman's body is not impossible, but expect the local peasantry to turn you into a bar-room anecdote.  This setting takes place in what is essentially late dark-ages, early Renaissance so gender identities are somewhat archaic.  Sorry.

Religious zealotry is a thing.  Expect people waving their duck god flag to have opinions on your bunny god.  Different areas are more public about it, but if you're touting a deity the locals don't like, there can be repercussions.

The countries are vaguely based off of real-world examples thanks to my unoriginality.  The Oxident is China/Japan/Mongolia/Tibet/etc, the Southern Continent is Africa/South America/Middle-East, the Northern Continent is North America/Europe/Russia.  This flexes and shifts in some areas, but using that as a guideline, you can get a broad guess as to what you're going to experience.

Expanding on the Hybrids, if you want to create a beast hybrid that doesn't exist, by all means do so and submit it to me and/or your GM.

Magic items are commonplace enough in the world that there are magic shops in every significant city.  Capitals have higher level spell access and more trade, thus better selections, but low-end items like Cure Light potions and such can be found in any modest town of triple-digit populations.  The general rule of thumb is that the max level of spell access for items/scrolls is the population's digits -2.  So a city of 100-999 people would have level 1 spells, 1000-999 level 2, and so on.  This method collapses when you start nearing 1,000,000 as those are almost exclusively Capitals, and those have level 5-6 based on their magical orientation.  This is also modified by region.  Elswye doesn't have a great economy so it doesn't have the greatest access to magical doodads.

There are some "secret factions" in the world.  If I label one as such, there are associated repercussions around said faction, so consider what might occur by revealing their existence.

From the perspective of outsiders, this plane is one of High Magic.  Magic is more readily available and the weave is woven with greater ease.  What does this mean mechanically?  Alot of little things, from the ease of access of magic items to how common spell-casters are.  The exact numbers aren't in yet, but there are more than would be found in officially established settings.

Psionics aren't really a thing.  Stop trying to make it a thing.  Be a mage like a normal person.  Any monsters with psionic abilities are instead magic-based here.  Screw psionics.
